Tune Up
- Frame & drivetrain wipe-down, chain lubrication
- Gear adjustment
- Brake adjustment
- Check hubs, bottom bracket, headset — adjust as necessary
- Wheel truing
- Inflate tires to minimum recommended PSI
- Full bolt torque check: wheels, quick releases, headset, stem, pedals, crankset, brake calipers & pads, kickstand, levers, controls/accessories
- Test ride under load – every time
Electric Tune Up
- Everything in the standard Tune-Up
Battery contact/terminal inspection – check for corrosion, pitting, or heat discoloration - Battery mount/latch security check – make sure it’s not rattling loose on rough roads
- Battery Health check
- Charging port inspection – debris, moisture ingress, pin condition
- Motor mount bolt torque
- Hub Motor – specifically checking for rear wheel spoke tension
- Full harness routing inspection – look for chafing, pinch points at pivots (folding e-bikes, suspension e-bikes)
- Display/controller cable connector check
- Speed sensor position and magnet gap (wheel-mounted sensors shift over time)
- Cadence/torque sensor check – verify pedal-assist engages smoothly and disengages properly
- Brake sensor/cutoff function check
Recumbent & Trike
Tune Up
- Everything in the standard Tune-Up +
- Trike/recumbent procedure
- Parking brake function check, if equipped
- Idler pulley/wheel inspection and lubrication
- Chain tube condition check
- Chain routing verification across multiple idlers, not just derailleur alignment
- Toe-in/toe-out alignment check and adjustment on both
- Boom slide lubrication and adjustment (this is the recumbent equivalent of saddle height — often skipped because it’s “not a normal bike part”)
- Seat frame/recline adjuster and seat rail bolt torquefront wheels – if applicable
Bicycle Assembly
- Unbox, assemble
- Tune up
– Frame & drivetrain wipe-down, chain lubrication
– Gear adjustment
– Brake adjustment
– Check hubs, bottom bracket, headset — adjust as necessary
– Wheel truing
– Inflate tires to minimum recommended PSI
– Full bolt torque check: wheels, quick releases, headset, stem, pedals, crankset, brake calipers & pads, kickstand, levers, controls/accessories
– Test ride under load – every time
- Basic fitment: saddle tilt/seatpost height, stem adjusted to customer comfortDiscard packaging/rubbish
- Note any damaged parts – report to manufacturer on customer’s behalf
Performance Tune Up
- Everything in the standard Tune-Up PLUS
- Inspection of wear parts
- Remove drivetrain (crankset, chain, cassette, derailleurs), soak in ultrasonic cleaner – mechanical drivetrains only
- Hand clean in ultrasonic cleaner
- Thoroughly dry and reinstall
- Fine Tuning to brakes and gears
- Electronic shifting: clean everything by hand, on the bike
